Production Manager in Training (Manufacturing)

Location: Riverside, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $71,000 annually, dependent on experience; the range may be adjusted for cost of living.

What you will do

• Manage production operations across multiple departments and shifts.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees while managing performance and accountability.
• Control department costs, profitability, inventory, reporting, and records.
• Identify and resolve production, quality, and operational problems.
• Lead continuous improvement and safety initiatives, including participation in the Safety Committee.
• Coordinate machinery training, preventative maintenance, standard work instructions, and material handling activities.

Requirements

• Post-high-school education.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience and 1–3 years of people-management experience.
• Strong communication, organization, agenda-setting, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of the Precise Plant Quality Program, quality training, troubleshooting, and production-detail verification.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement principles, including 5S and TPM, machinery and equipment, preventative maintenance, LOTO, machine audits, and standard work instructions.
• Successful completion of the forklift driver licensing process.
