Managed Service Lead (Security) - on-site Hampshire

Location: Hampshire, United Kingdom; onsite 5 days per week. The role requires the right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility to meet UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, including applicable residency and potential nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Lead operational delivery, governance, and assurance for DMZ and boundary security managed services.
• Manage and develop multidisciplinary teams of security engineers, analysts, and service specialists.
• Act as the senior escalation point for boundary-related incidents and coordinate response, recovery, and stakeholder communications.
• Govern change, configuration, release, lifecycle, and accreditation processes in regulated environments.
• Collaborate with architects, cyber defence teams, risk authorities, accrediting bodies, suppliers, and customers.
• Drive Zero Trust adoption, network segmentation, advanced monitoring, threat detection, and continual service improvement.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading cyber security, network security, or boundary security managed services in enterprise, government, or defence environments.
• Strong expertise in firewalls, secure gateways, proxy technologies, cross-domain solutions, guard technologies, and secure data transfer services.
• Experience managing service delivery, operational risk, major incidents, change management, and continual service improvement.
• Strong understanding of security governance, accreditation, assurance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with typically 7+ years of relevant experience including leadership responsibilities.
• Security clearance at SC/DV level or eligibility to obtain clearance, plus UK Government personnel security eligibility and the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, SIEM, logging, threat detection, TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, and secure architecture.
• Knowledge of NCSC guidance, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, and security assurance processes.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ITIL, PMP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, CCSE, or Fortinet FCSS/NSE.
