What you will do

• Supervise SOC analysts in daily monitoring and incident response activities.
• Maintain and improve SOC procedures to ensure consistent execution and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investigations and remediation efforts.
• Monitor SOC performance metrics and contribute to operational reporting.
• Assist in the onboarding and training of new security analysts.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to reduce noise and enhance detection quality.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to commute to Dundee, UK.
• Proven track record in cybersecurity or IT operations with experience leading teams.
• Strong background in MSP, MSSP, or SaaS environments.
• Deep understanding of SIEM, EDR, endpoint security, and cloud environments.
• Experience managing 24/7 operations and high-volume alert environments.
• Strong operational mindset with expertise in metrics, SLAs, and service delivery.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as SEC+, GCIA, or GCIH.
