Cyber Security Consultant

What you will do

• Deliver cyber security maturity assessments, security reviews, and best-practice evaluations.
• Provide strategic cyber security advice and help customers strengthen security posture, reduce risk, and improve cyber resilience.
• Develop practical security improvement plans aligned with recognised frameworks and business objectives.
• Support security governance initiatives, information security programmes, and vCISO services.
• Advise stakeholders from engineering teams through to executive leadership and build trusted customer relationships.
• Contribute to customer workshops, pre-sales engagements, and the development of cyber consulting solutions.

Requirements

• Experience conducting cyber security maturity assessments and best-practice reviews.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• Experience developing cyber security strategies, governance frameworks, information security programmes, or managing security risk.
• Background in cyber security architecture, senior engineering, incident response, security operations, or related disciplines.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and customer relationship skills, including engagement with C-suite stakeholders.
• Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, C-CISO, CISA, or an equivalent recognised accreditation.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering virtual CISO services.
• Experience supporting customers in Critical National Infrastructure environments.
• Exposure to managed security services or governance, risk, and compliance programmes.
• Previous consulting or professional services experience in a customer-facing environment.
