Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager (Banking)

Location: In office in Los Angeles, California, US

Salary: $77,000–$143,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Lead complex negotiations and draft contracts for commodities and services purchased by the bank.
• Develop category sourcing options, alternative supply strategies, and cost-saving recommendations with business stakeholders.
• Analyze business plans, spend data, supplier data, and market data to define optimal sourcing strategies.
• Lead RFx activities and competitive RFPs while managing supplier relationships and governance.
• Manage supplier audits, vendor risk, business continuity, security, and compliance with procurement policies.
• Present sourcing strategies to senior management and train and mentor Procurement team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of Procurement experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working for a bank or financial services company.
• Strong negotiation, contract drafting, analytical, critical-thinking, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contract terms and conditions, and working with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work strategically and tactically, lead a team, manage projects, and adapt to change.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Current knowledge of industry practices for assigned product and service categories.
