Strategic Sourcing Manager

Location: North Bethesda, Maryland, at the corporate headquarters

Salary: $99,919–$117,000 annual salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus under the Management Incentive Plan

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives across multiple vendor categories, from requirements development and supplier discovery through evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Develop and manage RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to support objective supplier-selection decisions.
• Lead commercial negotiations and administer supplier agreements to improve terms, manage risk, and support operational and financial priorities.
• Build supplier relationships that deliver cost optimization, service improvement, innovation, risk mitigation, and revenue-generating opportunities.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements, develop sourcing strategies, evaluate supplier performance, and resolve complex issues.
• Analyze proposals, spending, market intelligence, financial information, and business cases while improving procurement processes, analytics, systems, and AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

• At least seven years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract negotiation, supplier management, category management, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading complex RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs from requirements development through supplier evaluation and selection.
• Experience leading commercial negotiations, administering supplier agreements, and managing multiple initiatives with competing priorities.
• Strong commercial negotiation, stakeholder influence, analytical judgment, structured problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus experience preparing proposal analyses, supplier evaluations, business cases, and executive recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, procurement, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of procurement, contract-management, strategic-sourcing, or supplier-performance tools.
• Experience applying AI-enabled and other productivity tools to improve research, analysis, planning, workflow efficiency, and execution.
