Field Service Technician II (Medical Devices)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; remote from home with customer-site travel primarily across Quebec

Salary: CAD 40.00–44.00 per hour, plus bonus/incentive pay

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic, and refrigeration instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance and provide timely technical service at customer sites.
• Document service activities in accordance with Health Canada, FDA, and Leica policies.
• Maintain communication with internal teams and customers to meet service expectations.
• Provide customer training and technical support as needed.
• Represent the company professionally while developing product and application knowledge.

Requirements

• Associate degree, college diploma, or undergraduate degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Robotics Engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining electronic, electro-mechanical, or refrigeration instruments.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Availability for up to 80% flying and/or driving travel, including overnight stays; travel is primarily domestic and may occasionally be international.
• Ability to lift, move, and position up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing, walking, sitting, squatting, kneeling, stair climbing, and reaching.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated laboratory environments, medical device servicing, or hospital-based technical support.
• Previous experience as a Biomedical Engineer.
