PC&IS Automation Technician (Process Control & Industrial Systems)

Location: Mechelen, Belgium; onsite at the Mechelen P&G Distribution Centre

Procter & Gamble operates a global consumer goods business and produces automatic dishwashing tablets at its Mechelen plant.

What you will do

• Contribute to commissioning the Automatic Dead-Pile Loading and Unloading System, the first of its kind globally within P&G.
• Program PLC stacking patterns and maintain the operability and reliability of the ADP system.
• Troubleshoot and assess automated storage, conveyor, scanning, pallet transfer, and truck-loading equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment KPIs, including ADP performance, scanner efficiency, conveyor throughput, and automated truck loading.
• Collaborate with operations, suppliers, equipment vendors, and cross-functional teams to implement automation improvements.
• Act as a liaison between Operations Technology and IT teams to support integration of warehouse systems, software, and applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electromechanics or electronics.
• Recent graduate, up to five years after graduation; supply chain experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of automation technologies, control systems, and maintenance.
• Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a multifunctional team.
