Associate Director, Corporate Compliance - Operations (Biotech)

Location: Remote within the United States, with a strong preference for candidates residing in or willing to locate to RTP, North Carolina. Ability to travel up to 20%.

Salary: $145,500–$205,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the design, optimization, governance, and continuous improvement of compliance systems and workflows supporting HCP engagement, external funding, and fair market value processes.
• Advance the compliance systems and data roadmap, oversee system enhancements and release readiness, and maintain sustainable operating controls.
• Establish data governance standards, definitions, documentation, and controls across compliance-owned systems and datasets.
• Enable dashboards, extracts, reporting, and analytics by improving data completeness, accuracy, and usability.
• Build and maintain a risk-based third-party healthcare compliance program covering intake, due diligence, onboarding, renewals, and termination.
• Lead complex cross-functional initiatives and partner with IT, Finance, Legal, business stakeholders, and senior leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant life sciences experience, or master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years leading compliance systems, process governance, requirements definition, testing or UAT, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• 7+ years of experience with data governance and operational reporting or analytics, including dashboards, KPIs, and data quality.
• Knowledge of corporate compliance requirements, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and state price transparency laws.
• Strong project and program management, analytical, problem-solving, presentation, communication, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Power BI, Smartsheet, or Microsoft Project.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business, finance, life sciences, healthcare, information systems, or a related field.
• Experience designing and leading third-party risk management programs or embedding compliance controls into vendor and procurement processes.
• CHC certification or an equivalent healthcare compliance certification.
• Working knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, governance considerations, and productivity applications.
