Senior Counsel, Trade Compliance (Semiconductor)

Salary: $177,000–$243,500 per year

What you will do

• Set the strategy and processes for customer and supplier trade due diligence.
• Oversee restricted party screening and lead the global trade due diligence team.
• Advise business units and stakeholders on export controls, sanctions, customs, and import regulations.
• Design and enhance trade compliance policies, procedures, training, and operating processes.
• Support M&A and joint venture risk assessments, due diligence, integration planning, and internal investigations.
• Coordinate with external counsel and provide legal advice to executives and global business operations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree.
• 6–8 years of experience advising multinational businesses on trade compliance matters.
• Experience with US export controls and sanctions programs.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and lead a team.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, and legal writing skills.

Nice to have

• In-house experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Expertise in non-US export and import regulatory regimes.
• Experience advising on due diligence risk mitigation strategies.
• Mandarin language skills.
