Senior Logistics Specialist Operations, Inbound Logistics (Domestic Transportation)

What you will do

• Manage domestic inbound freight from suppliers, vendors, and transload facilities to distribution centers.
• Plan and optimize capacity across truckload, LTL, intermodal, rail, parcel, and dedicated fleet networks.
• Monitor shipments, coordinate delivery appointments, and resolve delays, service failures, and operational exceptions.
• Manage carrier and 3PL relationships, including performance tracking, onboarding, sourcing events, RFPs, and rate negotiations.
• Analyze freight spend, service metrics, forecasts, inventory flow, and network performance through dashboards and scorecards.
• Lead process standardization, automation, SOP development, network optimization, and cross-functional transportation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, business, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of experience in domestic transportation or logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. domestic freight modes, carrier operations, and transportation compliance.
• Hands-on experience with transportation management systems; Manhattan TMS is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
