Manager, Domestic Transportation (Retail Logistics)

What you will do

• Lead daily domestic transportation operations and manage service, cost, capacity, and operational performance.
• Establish transportation schedules, capacity plans, forecasts, and load-planning activities.
• Manage carrier sourcing, contract negotiations, onboarding, performance, and ongoing relationships.
• Oversee reverse logistics, store transfers, new-store openings, and transportation requirements for special projects.
• Develop transportation KPIs, dashboards, reporting, and business requirements for transportation systems and technology.
• Lead continuous improvement, resolve operational escalations, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and develop direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience managing domestic transportation operations, including truckload, LTL, parcel, and linehaul transportation.
• Two or more years of leadership experience coaching, developing, and managing employees.
• Experience with transportation management systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Demonstrated success in transportation performance management, carrier relationships, forecasting, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work from the Boston Heights, Ohio, USA corporate office and lead cross-functional operational initiatives.
