Senior Logistics Specialist Carrier Management, Truckload Operations

What you will do

• Manage outbound freight movement, including carrier selection, routing, tendering, and shipment execution.
• Build relationships with carriers, brokers, and 3PL partners while developing primary and backup carrier networks.
• Monitor carrier performance, lead reviews and corrective action plans, and plan capacity for peak seasons.
• Analyze freight spend, optimize modes and routes, support sourcing events and negotiations, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Use TMS and logistics systems to track shipments, analyze trends, and prepare dashboards, reports, scorecards, and QBRs.
• Coordinate with warehouse operations, customer service, procurement, and planning teams while leading compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of transportation or logistics experience focused on outbound carrier management.
• Experience managing common carriers, brokers, parcel, LTL, and/or truckload freight.
• Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting freight and performance data.
• Proficiency with TMS platforms and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Negotiation skills for carrier and service-provider contracts, plus knowledge of DOT, safety, and transportation compliance.
