Global Logistics Manager

What you will do

• Develop and execute domestic and international transportation, distribution, and logistics strategies.
• Optimize logistics networks, distribution centers, inventory flows, routing, and delivery models.
• Lead carrier sourcing, bid events, contract strategy, rate negotiations, supplier reviews, and freight cost-control initiatives.
• Manage daily freight and distribution operations, including escalations involving disruptions, customs delays, capacity constraints, and service failures.
• Track carrier performance, freight spend, service reliability, shipment exceptions, and other logistics KPIs using analytics and reporting tools.
• Establish logistics governance covering customs, export, DOT, documentation, risk management, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Associate degree and 7 years of managerial, supervisory, or Carpenter experience; a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain management, freight forwarding, or hirify.global.
• Working knowledge of customs processes, export regulations, domestic transportation regulations, DOT requirements, international shipping methods, Incoterms, and export cargo documentation.
• Experience with small-package courier systems such as UPS and FedEx, as well as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lead logistics personnel, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
