Manufacturing Technologist (Maintenance Technician)

Location: Castlebar, Mayo, Ireland; on-site manufacturing role

What you will do

• Maintain and support the performance of plant equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Diagnose faults and resolve equipment issues using structured problem-solving methods.
• Assist with the installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance while meeting safety and quality standards.
• Manage critical spare-parts availability and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Support audits with technical documentation and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Trade qualification, ideally in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a third-level degree in electronics or electrical engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing or the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills, collaborative approach, and willingness to learn and develop.

Nice to have

• Multi-skilled certification or additional technical qualifications.
• Experience with mechanical systems, PLCs, robotics, or automation.
• Exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics, or low-voltage control systems.
