MD - Syndications

Location: In office at 555 South Flower Street, Los Angeles, California, US

Starting base salary: $250,000–$300,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Lead the origination, structuring, underwriting, pricing, execution, and distribution of syndicated credit transactions.
• Develop debt solutions and advise clients on capital structure, pricing, lender selection, and commitment allocations.
• Partner with relationship managers, credit teams, underwriters, and product specialists to originate and execute transactions.
• Conduct market soundings, prepare offering memorandums, term sheets, lender presentations, financial models, and other syndication materials.
• Negotiate credit agreements, serve as the liaison between clients and lenders, and support post-closing agency and portfolio management.
• Manage transaction staffing and workflow while leading and mentoring junior syndications colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of banking experience.
• Minimum 8 years of sell-side capital markets experience.
• Credit training.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a deal team, with strong attention to detail, maturity, and integrity.

Nice to have

• MBA.
• Commercial or investment banking experience.
• Expertise in at least two areas including fund finance, middle-market C&I, franchise finance, sponsor finance, food and beverage, entertainment, or real estate.
