Sr. Product Designer - Contract (AI)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end product design from discovery and problem definition through detailed, developer-ready designs.
• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to understand customer needs and validate concepts.
• Translate user and business insights into intuitive, accessible, polished experiences covering core needs, edge cases, and multiple product states.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to frame problems and evaluate tradeoffs.
• Build reusable, accessible, and documented design-system components and patterns.
• Participate in design critiques, incorporate feedback, and balance design refinement with timely delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience shipping digital products in cross-functional environments.
• Portfolio demonstrating user-centered problem solving, sophisticated UX thinking, and strong visual and interaction design.
• Advanced Figma proficiency, including component libraries, prototyping workflows, design tokens, and design-system practices.
• Experience taking ambiguous problems through discovery, ideation, validation, iteration, and implementation.
• Strong communication, collaboration, design judgment, accessibility awareness, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to explain design decisions, user needs, priorities, and tradeoffs to product, engineering, and other stakeholders.
