Private Equity Senior Associate (Private Equity)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid working allows up to 40% of time from home and requires 60% in the office.

What you will do

• Lead private equity and corporate/M&A transactions as appropriate to their complexity.
• Advise private equity houses, institutional investors, and corporates across multiple sectors.
• Work on private M&A, joint ventures, co-investments, secondaries, GP-led transactions, and leveraged buy-outs.
• Draft and negotiate equity documents, including investment agreements and articles of association.
• Report directly to supervising partners and build strong client relationships.
• Manage deadlines, budgets, time recording, matter risks, and delivery quality.

Requirements

• Five to ten years of post-qualification experience or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with equity documents on private equity deals.
• Strong academic background and excellent written communication and drafting skills.
• Good knowledge of legal principles relevant to private equity and corporate/M&A work.
• Strong technical, organisational, project management, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to understand clients, sectors, risks, and opportunities.
