Associate General Counsel - Neuberger Wealth (Excl US)

What you will do

• Advise the non-U.S. private wealth business on legal and regulatory matters, client relationships, onboarding, and account maintenance.
• Interpret and apply FCA, AIFMD, MiFID II, GDPR, MAS, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Assess regulatory changes and coordinate practical implementation with U.S. legal, business, compliance, operations, risk, and regional teams.
• Advise on product and service distribution across non-U.S. markets, including local licensing, registration, and permissioning requirements.
• Draft and update advisory agreements and related retail client documentation, and advise on technology initiatives.
• Review commercial contracts, RFPs, marketing materials, and monitoring processes while helping reduce regulatory risk.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor, barrister, or attorney admitted in England & Wales; overseas-qualified attorneys with equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5–8+ years of post-qualification experience in private wealth, asset management, or financial services law.
• Strong writing, reading, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to identify legal and regulatory issues.
• Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills, including communication with senior management.
• Must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom without current or future sponsorship.
