What you will do

• Teach graduate courses in the online Counseling program, including practicum and internship supervision.
• Coordinate clinical mental health services in collaboration with the Behavioral Health Workforce Initiative.
• Develop partnerships with schools, community agencies, mental health providers, and external organizations.
• Recruit, admit, advise, and supervise master's-level counseling students.
• Maintain an active research and publication agenda.
• Participate in program planning, assessment, examinations, committees, and university service.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Counselor Education.
• Texas licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or eligibility for licensure.
• Evidence of scholarly activity or a scholarly agenda in Counseling.
• Experience supervising counselors-in-training through practicum and internship.
• Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical procedures for counselors-in-training.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain authorization throughout employment; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Doctoral degree in Counseling from a CACREP-accredited program.
• Training in Counseling curriculum development and online instruction.
• At least two years of higher-education teaching experience in Counseling.
• Experience consulting and training in school or community mental health services.
• Knowledge of professional ethics and best practices in Counselor Education.
