Program Director - Physical Therapy Assistant

Location: Provo, Utah, USA; regular in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus is required.

What you will do

• Lead the development, organization, and ongoing quality management of the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Develop and maintain curriculum, course schedules, teaching assignments, budgets, equipment inventories, and program documentation.
• Ensure compliance with CAPTE, institutional accreditors, the Department of Education, Title IV requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Select, supervise, evaluate, train, and mentor PTA faculty while coordinating staff meetings and performance monitoring.
• Oversee clinical site selection, affiliation agreements, facility visits, and coordination of instruction at clinical sites.
• Support student recruitment, advising, retention, satisfaction, academic assistance, orientation, and graduation activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and a current physical therapist or physical therapist assistant license, or eligibility for licensure in the state where the program resides.
• At least five years of full-time post-licensure experience, including at least three years of clinical, didactic, and/or clinical teaching experience.
• At least two years of administration or management experience.
• At least two years of experience with educational theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation, and outcome assessment.
• Nine college credits in educational foundations or equivalent education, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to build relationships with diverse staff and students and maintain high integrity.

Nice to have

• Doctoral degree in physical therapy, such as a DPT.
• American Physical Therapy Association membership with documented professional activity.
• Demonstrable leadership skills, including setting expectations and managing performance.
