Application Engineer eSIM and IoT

Location: Sant Joan Despí, Spain; hybrid setup with 3 days of remote work

What you will do

• Install, integrate, operate, and troubleshoot Java-based applications in datacenter and cloud environments.
• Manage web servers, proxy servers, Java applications, digital certificates, and cryptographic keys in Linux environments.
• Analyze and resolve application incidents according to service-level agreements, ITIL processes, and service management procedures.
• Implement, test, and document customer solutions in collaboration with project management, developers, IT Infrastructure, and Customer Support.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and event management systems.
• Automate operational support tasks and system deployments using scripts and Ansible.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience managing web servers, Apache, Tomcat, and Java applications in Linux-based environments.
• Basic knowledge of cloud computing, especially AWS, and container orchestration such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including the OSI model and TCP/IP.
• Scripting skills in Bash or Python, plus knowledge of ITIL processes, service management, and Agile/Scrum teamwork.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible for automation and tooling.
