IIoT DevOps Engineer (IIoT)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work. Occasional business trips to other hirify.global sites are required.

Salary: €49,600–€74,400 per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for IIoT platform assets, including shared cloud services, integrations, Ignition configurations, gateways, and edge services.
• Define branching, versioning, artifact promotion, rollback, and controlled release strategies for reusable platform components and site-specific deployments.
• Manage Git-based configuration workflows, Infrastructure as Code, site overlays, templates, scaffolding, repository standards, and documentation.
• Embed DevSecOps controls such as static analysis, code-quality gates, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and policy-as-code checks.
• Orchestrate releases across AWS cloud services, Kubernetes-based services, workflow engines, plant-edge environments, hybrid integrations, and data pipelines.
• Establish environment standards, observability metrics, health checks, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and validation evidence in collaboration with platform, quality, cybersecurity, and site teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines and strong Git fundamentals, including branching and versioning at scale.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent tools, Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to collaborate across architecture, security, validation, engineering, platform, quality, cybersecurity, and site teams.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, systems thinking, operational discipline, documentation, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English is required; English is the usual working language.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated Pharma, biological, medical-device, or other GxP environments.
• Experience designing platform and site-customization models for multi-site deployment.
• Experience with SCADA, MES, IIoT, or edge-to-cloud industrial architectures.
• Familiarity with Ignition, AWS IoT Core, AWS SiteWise, JFrog Artifactory, and enterprise security or code-scanning tools.
