What you will do

• Provide academic, research, and administrative leadership for departmental operations, programs, and strategic initiatives.
• Manage faculty and staff oversight, including performance evaluations, recruitment, mentoring, promotion, and tenure processes.
• Maintain an active, externally funded research program with a 50% research expectation; publish, present, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
• Oversee curricula, academic program quality, student learning outcomes, accreditation compliance, retention, and career readiness.
• Develop departmental goals, assess outcomes, implement the College’s Strategic Action Plan, and report progress.
• Develop and monitor budgets, allocate resources, represent the department to stakeholders, and secure support for academic and research excellence.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate or terminal degree in a related discipline.
• Record of excellence in teaching and service appropriate for appointment as a tenured Associate or Full Professor.
• Demonstrated administrative leadership experience, such as program director, associate chair, chair, or equivalent.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• All positions are security-sensitive; employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history check.

• Experience leading large-scale research projects or centers.
• Success mentoring graduate students and junior faculty in research.
• Experience in strategic planning, budget management, and personnel administration.
