What you will do

• Develop next-generation viral vector platforms and genome engineering technologies for functional genomics and therapeutic target discovery.
• Design, engineer, produce, optimize, and characterize AAV and lentiviral vectors for gene overexpression and CRISPR-based genetic perturbation.
• Execute molecular biology and functional genomics experiments in in vitro and in vivo model systems.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, communicating biological insights to multidisciplinary discovery teams.
• Evaluate emerging genome engineering, viral vector engineering, and functional genomics technologies.
• Collaborate with biology, computational biology, chemistry, and therapeutic area scientists.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree with relevant postdoctoral experience where applicable, or a master's degree with 3 years of scientific experience, or a bachelor's degree with 5 years of scientific experience.
• Background in molecular biology, genome engineering, CRISPR technologies, and functional genomics.
• Expertise in designing, engineering, producing, optimizing, and characterizing AAV and/or lentiviral vectors.
• Experience with viral vector technologies for in vitro and in vivo CRISPR-based genetic perturbation studies.
• Expertise in molecular cloning, construct design, and genetic tool development.
• Strong experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation skills.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, bioengineering, virology, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant postdoctoral and/or industry research experience.
