Scientist/Senior Scientist, Stem Cell/iPSC Research (Stem Cell/iPSC)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; based at the hirify.global Foster City campus

Base salary: $113,300–$169,900 per year, plus eligibility for variable cash programs and equity for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Lead the development of high-throughput sequencing techniques and systems for iPSC-derived cell types.
• Design, develop, and validate quantitative cellular assays for novel therapeutic targets.
• Use human iPSC systems and functional genomics strategies to identify and validate targets and next-generation biomarkers.
• Integrate experimental biology with large-scale human genetics and sequencing data to develop target hypotheses.
• Lead the scientific strategy of the research team and collaborate with academic and clinical partners.
• Present findings at scientific meetings and publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

• For Senior Scientist: Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, or a similar field.
• For Scientist 1/2: B.S. or M.S. in cell biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, or a similar field.
• For Scientist 1/2: at least two years of experience in a laboratory technician or research associate role.
• Extensive experience with genetic and molecular biology techniques, iPSC model development, primary cell culture, high-throughput sequencing assays, CRISPR, single-cell sequencing, target identification, and target validation.
• Strong evidence of technical proficiency, innovation, and scientific rigor, including publication in high-quality scientific journals.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
