Automotive Technician

Location: Cinco Ranch, United States; onsite retail automotive service role

Pay range: $17.50–$26.30 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and parts and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and repair services.
• Road-test vehicles and support vehicle assessments and repair procedures.
• Explain repair procedures to customers and answer service questions.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and work with attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of oil changes, vehicle inspections, tire repair, and general automotive maintenance.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment eligibility verification with Form I-9 is required; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. certification from A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external training or qualifications.
