Infusion Pharmacy Technician, Per diem

Location: Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite

What you will do

• Provide technical support for pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Fill medication orders, prepare batch compounds, and ensure timely delivery of medications and supplies.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, primarily of hazardous drugs, in compliance with USP <795>, USP <797>, USP <800>, institutional policies, and applicable research protocols.
• Use EHR, inventory-management, and automated-dispensing systems; maintain inventory and support controlled-substance processes.
• Perform quality-control documentation, cleaning of sterile and non-sterile areas, and emergency-medication stocking.
• Troubleshoot and escalate issues, communicate with pharmacy staff, and cross-cover other pharmacy locations or areas as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or current enrollment in an accredited entry-level pharmacy or related degree program.
• Two years of pharmacy technician experience, including at least one year of compounding experience.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations, use pharmacy technology systems, develop aseptic-compounding proficiency, troubleshoot issues, communicate effectively, and work with strong attention to detail.
• Regular onsite work is required in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
