Therapy Development Specialist – South Texas

Location: San Antonio, Texas; ideal candidates may reside in San Antonio, Austin, or the Rio Grande Valley. The role includes work at customer hospital locations and up to 30% overnight travel.

Salary: $104,000–$115,000 annually, excluding potential commission and other incentives.

What you will do

• Grow CRRT therapy utilization in existing contracted hospital accounts and identify expansion opportunities.
• Provide clinical and commercial support across critical care, anesthesia, and emergency department call points.
• Partner with the Territory Business Manager to assess account needs, plan education, and develop clinical champions.
• Lead incremental machine sales, CRRT product penetration, pricing contracts, and renewals.
• Build relationships with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals while delivering consultative customer service.
• Coordinate customer-site training logistics with the Renal Clinical Educator for CRRT and hemodialysis.

Requirements

• Preferred BSN with 3 years of experience, or RN experience in critical care medicine with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Candidates without a degree may be considered with 8+ years of medical device, hemodynamic monitoring, and/or CRRT clinical experience.
• At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in medical devices, and/or at least 2 years delivering CRRT in a hospital ICU.
• Critical care or dialysis nursing experience, strong product and therapy expertise, and the ability to teach healthcare professionals.
• Ability to solve complex clinical or technical problems, manage contracts and renewals, and work effectively in a matrixed team environment.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and willingness to travel up to 30% overnight.

Nice to have

• Experience selling hemodynamic or patient monitoring systems and capital equipment.
• Experience with conceptual selling to physicians and hospitals in critical care settings.
• Demonstrated top industry performance and experience starting new therapy programs.
