Product-Oriented Fullstack Engineer (TypeScript)

What you will do

• Design, build, ship, and own end-to-end product features used by thousands of developers and hundreds of millions of end-users.
• Work across frontend, backend, and data boundaries while making tradeoffs that preserve reliability, quality, and scalability.
• Scope, prioritize, and drive initiatives with the Product team from problem definition through production rollout and post-launch improvements.
• Build and operate high-scale production systems, monitor feature usage and adoption, and improve shipped functionality over time.
• Debug complex issues, participate in code reviews and technical discussions, and communicate clearly during incidents.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture decisions affecting multiple teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend foundation.
• Proficiency in React and experience owning frontend UI work, supported by solid HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, and browser-server fundamentals.
• Ability to write advanced SQL and work with data logic beyond basic queries.
• Experience with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Python, Flask, and AWS-hosted systems.
• Track record of shipping meaningful user-facing features and operating high-scale production systems.
• Strong communication, customer focus, methodical debugging, and ability to work independently from idea through post-launch improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards through feedback and guidance.
• Experience architecting large projects, validating designs, and planning reliable rollouts.

Hiring process

• Two separate live-coding sessions: one focused on frontend fundamentals and one on SQL, data logic, and algorithmic programming.
• Onboarding includes team and manager meetings, learning internal tools and subscription-business concepts, a First Ship project, and early bug fixes and code reviews.
