Advanced Data Science Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Evanston, Illinois; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; New York, New York; or Chicago, Illinois, United States. Work combines working from home with on-site presence at client and hirify.global offices for most of the week. Client-facing travel is required as needed.

Salary: $225,000–$240,750 per year, plus potential bonus incentives, relocation support, insurance, retirement benefits, and paid leave.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and coach data scientists delivering client projects.
• Develop data science strategies aligned with AI team and organizational goals.
• Direct multiple projects and manage client relationships and delivery.
• Drive business development and develop or sell new opportunities.
• Build scalable data science capabilities, offerings, and analytics platforms.
• Provide thought leadership through research, innovation, and publication.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline, or 10+ years of work experience in lieu of a PhD.
• 8+ years of relevant post-collegiate work experience.
• Experience with big data, claims analytics, advanced analytics, text mining, social listening, recommender systems, predictive modeling, generative AI, and large language models.
• Programming experience with Python or R and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience in business development, agile project planning, project management, and team management.
• Fluent English is required.
