What you will do

• Install, patch, upgrade, and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases across Windows and Linux environments.
• Administer Ubuntu servers, manage disk capacity, and support data archiving and migration.
• Configure and test database backups, high-availability solutions, data protection, and partitioning.
• Develop tables, views, functions, and stored procedures, while assisting users with data requests and query tuning.
• Manage cloud database resources and costs, server telemetry, technical documentation, and database user access.
• Perform database migrations and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency server issues.

Requirements

• Fluent English in spoken and written communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, another quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of production database administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• 1–3 years of production Linux server experience.
• Accuracy, strong organization, communication, problem-solving, logical process thinking, and the ability to multitask.
• Willingness to travel less than 5% initially, with travel potentially increasing over time.

Nice to have

• 1–3 years of PostgreSQL experience.
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Development experience with Python, Java, C#, or Go.
