Associate Systems Engineer Japan (m/f/d) IT Infrastructure

What you will do

• Support server hardware assessment, setup, configuration, and deployment.
• Install, configure, and maintain applications in Linux-based environments.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis using diagnostics and log files.
• Provide first-level technical support for customer systems during warranty and maintenance phases.
• Support product demonstrations and change management activities while maintaining system documentation.
• Collaborate with local Japanese teams, international engineering teams, partners, customers, and cross-functional groups throughout the system lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent qualification.
• Basic knowledge of server administration, networking, Linux operating systems, and system architecture.
• Basic scripting or programming experience with Bash or Python in Linux environments.
• Ability to read technical documentation and willingness to develop technical skills in a structured environment.
• Business-level Japanese is required for customer interaction and documentation.
• Basic to intermediate English is required for internal and global communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Proxmox.
• Experience with IT infrastructure setup, system integration, or technical support.
• Knowledge of communications systems or signal processing.
