Hardware Engineering Intern (AMHS)

Location: Leixlip, Ireland; on-site presence required in the office and fab environment.

Minimum annual salary: €31,400.

What you will do

• Evaluate AMHS equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support corrective actions, process optimization, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
• Collect, analyze, and present operational and engineering data using appropriate tools and software.
• Review engineering drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving and develop documentation for AMHS manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Work toward a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, manufacturing, automation engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated skills from internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training.
• Fundamental understanding of manufacturing process control and improvement techniques.
• Familiarity with technical documentation and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to work on-site in the office and fab environment in Leixlip, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Exposure to PLCs, industrial controls, robotics, or automation systems.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar data analysis tools.
• Understanding of equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, system performance metrics, Industry 4.0, or smart manufacturing.
