Automation Engineer (Rockwell/Siemens)

What you will do

• Maintain the availability and qualified status of manufacturing process control and safety systems.
• Support the design, implementation, configuration, and deployment of hardware and software solutions for process control systems.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing system faults and develop configuration changes to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Perform preventive and planned maintenance, system modifications, validation testing, audits, CAPAs, and change-control activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Site Engineering, QA, IS Compliance, CSV, and senior stakeholders to maintain production continuity.
• Coordinate third-party vendors and support automation projects across internal manufacturing sites.

Requirements

• University degree or HND with relevant professional experience.
• Good knowledge of distributed control and safety systems and/or PLC applications, including PLC-based unit operations, graphical interfaces, and data collection.
• Experience with batch processing or continuous production and demonstrable knowledge of batch processes.
• Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading PLC or DCS control systems, including Rockwell and Siemens platforms such as Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View SE, TIA Portal, or PCS7.
• Working knowledge of GAMP, GEP, SQL databases, system maintenance programs, and quality and compliance procedures.
• Fluent English with strong oral, written, and presentation skills.

• Commissioning experience.
