Manufacturing Quality and Reliability Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: On-site in Kulim, Malaysia. Shift 1 (Malaysia).

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing quality issue containment, investigation, corrective actions, excursion management, and disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Conduct quality audits and improve manufacturing quality, yield, reliability, and process capability.
• Support technology transfer to high-volume manufacturing, readiness reviews, quality gates, control plans, and production controls for new product introductions.
• Apply SPC, DOE, statistical methods, and data analytics to identify quality risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead process improvement, cost reduction, CAPA effectiveness, and standardization initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, development, quality teams, and customers using 8D and root cause analysis to resolve quality concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical, chemical, materials, microelectronics engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 6 years of experience in quality, reliability, manufacturing, product, or process engineering.
• Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, Cp/Cpk, control plans, CAPA, and root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Kulim, Malaysia on Shift 1.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor test environments and platforms such as Advantest V93K, Teradyne Test Systems, HPB-8, AMPS, or Chroma 3200.
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, JMP, SQL, or other data analytics tools.
