Quality Assurance Assistant Manager (Semiconductor)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Malaysia; onsite, with no remote work available

What you will do

• Support the Head of Department in managing daily Quality Assurance operations, resources, and decisions.
• Lead quality control and inspection activities across incoming, in-process, and outgoing production stages.
• Manage supervisory and inspector teams while promoting a strong quality culture across manufacturing and support functions.
• Coordinate cross-functional improvement activities with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders.
• Manage customer quality requirements, audits, documentation, change management, technical discussions, and issue resolution.
• Drive quality performance improvement through data analysis, risk assessment, corrective and preventive actions, lessons learned, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• Experience in quality, process, or manufacturing within the semiconductor industry.
• Formal training or certification in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Knowledge of Core Tools: APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC.
• Knowledge of quality tools, statistical analysis, and management practices.
• Ability to support internal, customer, and certification audits and close findings on time.
