Energy Engineer - BAS Integration

Location: United States - Remote

Salary: $67,300–$107,150 base salary per year

What you will do

• Integrate customer building-system, utility, submeter, and energy data into the AssetPlanner platform.
• Evaluate sites, select data-extraction methods, and configure on-site gateways and edge devices.
• Map building automation system points and deploy fault-detection and performance analytics.
• Configure dashboards, alerts, workflows, analytics rules, and thresholds.
• Monitor connectivity and data quality while troubleshooting integration, networking, and data issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers throughout onboarding and platform adoption, documenting configurations and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or a similar STEM discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of IoT devices, data acquisition, and computer networking fundamentals.
• Experience or familiarity with building automation systems, building protocols, HVAC systems, HVAC controls, and central plant operations.
• Experience with energy data, utility billing, submetering, analytics, fault detection, or performance monitoring platforms.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing; travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, SQL, and Linux.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and technical communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
