Energy Engineer (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Manchester, NH, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Employees must be able to work up to five days in the office when required.

Salary: $108,110–$120,120 annual salary, plus potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Support electric and natural gas energy-efficiency projects, including equipment procurement and installation.
• Review applications, customer participation data, analysis spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with contractor selection, vendor management, inspections, and validation of program implementation.
• Collect and analyze energy-efficiency performance data and calculate energy savings.
• Evaluate HVAC equipment, motors, controls, lighting systems, and other technologies against baseline equipment and building codes.
• Support energy-efficiency program services, marketing activities, technology evaluation, and research.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• At least three years of relevant experience, including the ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC equipment, air handlers, pumps, motors, and VFDs.
• Ability to review building plans covering HVAC, lighting, and control systems, with familiarity with local energy codes.
• Problem-solving, attention-to-detail, communication, writing, presentation, and standard office software skills.
• Visa or immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

• Engineer in Training, Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, or LEED Professional certification.
