Senior Comml Rev Appraiser II (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, with eligibility listed for California, New York, North Carolina, Arizona, and Texas

Salary: $77,000–$143,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Manage the full valuation request process, from procuring appraisal bids through completing review reports.
• Develop appraisal scopes of work and provide recommendations to lending teams.
• Engage third-party vendors, resolve field questions, coordinate revisions, and mediate appraisal disputes.
• Review appraisal quality, accuracy, regulatory compliance, and value conclusions for complex commercial properties.
• Monitor changes to appraisal regulations and industry guidelines and help update internal policies and research resources.
• Perform market evaluations and support additional real estate valuation responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of experience appraising or reviewing appraisals of complex commercial properties for a financial institution.
• At least 5 years of experience in real estate, banking, or financial services.
• Certified General Real Estate Appraiser designation required.
• Experience with complex investment-grade properties, including office, retail, industrial, new construction, ground leases, and tax-related scenarios.
• Knowledge of USPAP, FIRREA, federal appraisal regulations, discounted cash flow analysis, and financial modeling.

Nice to have

• MAI or AI-GRS designation.
• Argus certification and experience with environmental assessment reports.
• Familiarity with appraisal order management software.
