Medical Science Liaison, IgG4 - Rare Disease - Central Florida (Rare Disease): Serving as a scientific liaison for the medical and scientific community across North and Central Florida, building relationships with clinicians, medical thought leaders, academic institutions, and other healthcare stakeholders with an accent on scientific communication, clinical research collaboration, and competitive intelligence. Focus on evaluating investigator-initiated and company-sponsored trials, supporting medical strategy through conferences and speaker programs, and translating customer needs into internal resources.

Location: US - Florida - Tampa; territory includes North/Central Florida. Travel of up to 60% is required for territory management, conferences, workshops, and company meetings.

Annual salary: USD 156,998.40–212,409.60.

What you will do

  • Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical and scientific community and build relationships with prominent experts and clinicians.
  • Partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, medical directors, managed care decision-makers, and pharmacy directors in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate scientific, medical, health economic, and product information to internal and external audiences.
  • Identify customer needs, integrate feedback, and connect unmet needs with internal resources.
  • Support speaker programs, conferences, scientific meetings, and competitive intelligence activities.
  • Evaluate and facilitate external investigator-initiated and company-sponsored clinical research collaborations.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
  • Experience communicating scientific and medical information and building professional networks.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% and occasionally work days of up to 15 hours due to travel.
  • Ability to learn new business applications across PC and iPad hardware tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and networking skills.

Nice to have

  • Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
  • Two years of scientific or medical affairs experience at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
  • Professional, proactive demeanor and self-directed working style.
