Associate Director - Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)

Location: Fully remote, based in the UK; occasional international travel required.

What you will do

• Lead a global team of EHS professionals and act as a senior EHS partner across business areas.
• Develop and implement consistent global environmental, health and safety policies, procedures, and programmes.
• Design and deliver safety and occupational health programmes using data, trends, and risk analysis.
• Lead ergonomics, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, powered industrial trucks, and industrial hygiene programmes.
• Embed safety and occupational health criteria into engineering designs, capital projects, new sites, R&D locations, and acquisitions.
• Oversee audits, management of change, risk mitigation, reporting, and optimisation of digital EHS management systems.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in safety, occupational health, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience leading people and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Safety, Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Deep technical knowledge of safety and occupational health, with an understanding of environmental compliance and sustainability.
• Experience leading programmes in large, multi-site, global organisations and working across Europe, Asia, and/or Latin America.
• Fluent English is essential.
