What you will do
- Perform lineman duties on overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
- Respond to emergency callouts outside normal working hours and on weekends.
- Climb utility poles and work outdoors in physically demanding conditions and varying weather.
- Troubleshoot electric distribution systems and work with feeder circuits, transformers, meters, fuses, breakers, and other equipment.
- Operate line construction and maintenance vehicles and equipment, including digger-derricks, forklifts, and platform digger units.
- Follow company and OSHA safety requirements, including switching procedures and the use of PPE and rubber protective equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class A CDL with a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Completion of a qualified apprenticeship program and Journeyman Lineman certification.
- Knowledge and experience with electric distribution systems, transformer connections, protective devices, hot line tools, meter sets, and troubleshooting.
- Experience operating line construction and maintenance vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to perform safe, proficient pole climbing and work safely under strenuous conditions.

Hiring process
