Inventory Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Support daily shipment receipt, material movement, and accurate accounting for incoming supplier inventory.
• Lead inventory problem resolution, reconciliations, and corrective actions.
• Manage weekly cycle counts, count sheets, reports, and result reporting.
• Create and maintain production and supplier-managed Kanbans and support the kitting program for work starts.
• Support excess and obsolete inventory disposition, material close-out, customer-furnished property, and supplier inventory processes.
• Provide backup support for hazardous-material and inert-product shipping and assist with outside audit preparation.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an AAS in Business or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Experience with inventory transactions, storage, and cycle counting.
• Experience using ERP systems to move and ship materials.
• Aerospace and defense or material-management experience is desired.
• Microsoft Office experience, especially Word and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport parts short distances around campus; ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of hazardous-material shipping and movement.
• DOT CFR-49 and IATA certification.
