New Business Design Manager (Electric and Gas Distribution)

Salary: $97,600–$138,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead and direct gas and electric distribution design activities for dispersed designer groups.
• Plan and budget distribution capital projects while supporting construction and operations departments.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, cost, reliability, customer service, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish business plans, goals, objectives, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Build strategic partnerships across business units and provide technical support to field teams.
• Mentor and train new and existing designers; participate in on-call and storm restoration activities.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of electric and/or gas distribution design experience, preferably in design, engineering, construction, or operations.
• Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of electric and/or gas distribution experience.
• Ability to lead technical groups and maintain corporate design and quality standards.
• Experience supporting construction, operations, field troubleshooting, and outage response.
