Director Engineering

Location: On-site in South Burlington, Vermont, USA. Relocation available.

Salary: $175,000–$195,000 per year in Vermont, plus eligibility for short-term and long-term variable compensation.

What you will do

• Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with business priorities, product roadmaps, and operational objectives.
• Lead engineering functions and integrate product development with manufacturing and operations.
• Own product development from concept through launch and lifecycle support, including multiple concurrent NPI programs.
• Drive quality, cost, delivery, design-for-manufacturing, design-for-assembly, design-to-cost, and serviceability objectives.
• Oversee development schedules, budgets, resources, validation readiness, quality systems, and sustaining engineering.
• Build a high-performing global engineering organization through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 15 years of progressive engineering experience.
• 7 years of management experience.
• Ability to work on-site in South Burlington, Vermont.
