Equipment Maintenance Technician (12 hour rotation, Night Shift)

What you will do

• Provide technical engineering support for equipment optimization, upgrades, replacements, repairs, and modifications.
• Maintain and evaluate process equipment and technical cleaning systems in the inspection and packaging area.
• Coordinate support for engineering, quality, validation, mechanical, electrical, automation, and regulatory issues.
• Complete maintenance activities and monitor plant support equipment according to CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans, and company policies.
• Investigate equipment problems, troubleshoot failures, optimize maintenance procedures, and maintain spare-parts inventory.
• Support FDA and other regulatory agency inspections and work weekends or holidays as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree with four years of technical engineering experience, or a high school diploma/GED with six years of technical engineering experience.
• Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical educational background.
• Experience repairing mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment, preferably packaging equipment.
• Strong mechanical proficiency, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical writing skills.
• Understanding of PLCs, computer serialization, packaging equipment, and vision inspection systems such as Cognex and Systech.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use a digital multimeter; ability to work a 12-hour night shift.
