Credit Collection Senior Analyst (Japanese Speaker)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia; hybrid with the possibility to work up to 50% of the time from home

What you will do

• Deliver end-to-end Credit and Collections services in line with SLAs, global standards, and operational KPIs.
• Review accounts receivable ageing, perform collections and dunning, follow up disputes, and manage overdue-related blocked sales orders.
• Assess new customer credit risk, review credit limits, monitor portfolio exposure, and support credit committee activities.
• Investigate operational issues and coordinate timely resolution with Customer Service, Finance, Treasury, commercial teams, customers, and O2C stakeholders.
• Act as a Credit Management and O2C subject matter expert supporting core model, ERP, automation, and process harmonization initiatives.
• Support workload planning, coach Analysts and Senior Analysts, and contribute to continuous improvement and business transformation projects.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal Japanese and English are required.
• At least five years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting; shared services experience is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or an equivalent field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and credit principles, financial analysis, credit systems, and operational procedures.
• Strong stakeholder communication, problem-solving, collaboration, independent working, and metrics-management skills.
• Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.

Nice to have

• Experience in a pharmaceutical environment or matrix organization.
• Working experience with SAP FICO and SAP Application Interface Framework modules.
• Exposure to optical character recognition, scanning and imaging, case management, KPI reporting, or Lean/Six Sigma.
• Mandarin language skills.
