What you will do

  • Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies and plans for Rare Disease and Rheumatology portfolios.
  • Lead advisory board meetings and analyze competitive intelligence and the external environment.
  • Collaborate with regional and global Medical Affairs teams and cross-functional internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute Integrated Evidence Generation Plans, Company Sponsored Studies, and Collaborative Studies.
  • Lead publication activities, including manuscripts and congress presentations.
  • Ensure medical activities support appropriate product use, value maximization, and compliant scientific communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required; a PhD in life sciences or an MD is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, R&D, marketing in the pharmaceutical industry, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing clinical research and medical strategies, including value-oriented research and communication strategies.
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge of Japanese regulatory policy and industry codes covering drug registration, pharmaceutical promotion, and clinical studies.
  • Strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal, computer, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in Rare Disease or Rheumatology/Immunology.
  • Experience with evidence generation.
