Senior Medical Science Liaison - Obesity - CA

Location: US - California - Long Beach; field-based territory includes Long Beach, Torrance, Riverside, and San Bernardino, California.

Expected annual salary: $172,344.30–$233,171.70 USD.

What you will do

• Serve as a scientific and clinical resource for opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, population health decision makers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchange on obesity and related conditions using accurate, balanced, and compliant clinical information.
• Engage clinical investigators, research sites, and potential investigators in support of the obesity pipeline and sponsored or non-sponsored research.
• Communicate clinical, outcomes, and economic data within assigned integrated delivery networks and institutions.
• Provide field insights to internal stakeholders, support congress activities and speaker training, and participate in MSL strategy projects.
• Mentor other MSLs, maintain scientific expertise, and complete CRM, expense, compliance, and training responsibilities.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or master’s degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Experience in a medically related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Experience building relationships with external stakeholders and communicating scientific data effectively.
• Ability to work in the designated California territory and engage with local healthcare and research stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to maintain current clinical, scientific, and healthcare trend knowledge.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
• Two or more years of experience in a medical science liaison role at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Cardiometabolic or obesity expertise.
• Experience with the designated territory.
